Baru Bian is new Chairman of PKR Sarawak Political Bureau

Sarawak civil rights attorney Baru Bian has been appointed as Chairman of the Policital Bureau of Parti Keadilan Rakyat Sarawak (PKR). 

Baru Bian is one of Sarawak's most effective advocates for land rights of Sarawak's Native communities.  He is a leading authority on Sarawak's land law and its application, and on civil rights generally.

Baru Bian is also a founder of the  Sarawak Indigenous Lawyers Association SILA.

PKR's national leader is Anwar Ibrahim, generally recognized as the leading figure in Malaysia's political opposition.
